From props tiles to interactive bet calculators, the company’s turnkey, marketing automation tools increase engagement and drive revenue for a variety of publishing partners.

MetaBet currently generates over 10M product impressions daily through integrations with over 40 partners across sports media (SB Nation, USA TODAY), sportsbook operators (DraftKings, SI Sportsbook), performance marketers (Catena Media, Gambling.com), betting publishers (Covers, BetQL), and other verticals.

As MetaBet enters its next phase of growth, the company is looking for a Senior Director, Sales & Business Development to lead revenue generation and manage key client relationships. Reporting to the founding team, the successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the development and execution of MetaBet’s sales and commercial strategies. This multifaceted role will also include helping to develop product strategies and managing key operational tasks.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to join a successful and nimble startup team, chart its future growth, and help build out the commercial side of the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver sales strategy and strong revenue growth in the US via owning and meeting annual sales targets
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand MetaBet customer base
  • Build and lead sales and account teams while scaling the business
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, including partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Support account management and product development by ensuring the evolving requirements of customers are met and liaising with colleagues to deliver services
  • Regular data reporting, including financial projections and collected revenue, working in collaboration with Finance
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5 years+ experience selling SaaS products, iGaming solutions, or betting software to media and technology companies
  • A track record of successfully over achieving commercial targets
  • Experience helping to define and execute successful business, sales, and product strategies and plans
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Comfort in forecasting sales volume and profit for existing and new customers, across product lines
  • Ability to create reports and analyses on sales progress relative to plan and manage monthly reconciliation process
  • Superior client relationship management skills, with proven ability providing excellence in customer service
  • Willingness to be hands on across multiple cross-function tasks, while staying focused to achieve business revenue goals
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

In a given week, your work could span from native iOS and Android development, to PHP and JavaScript-based web development, to Java-based excitement algorithm updates, to upgrading our API infrastructure. We're looking for candidates with experience in at least one of these realms, but more importantly, someone excited to learn more.

Our stack relies on mature tech like Apache, Tomcat, Java, JavaScript, and PHP. We believe in using the simplest technology possible for any task—our products should be cutting-edge, not the tech that supports it.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience building web/mobile sites or apps that have been successfully launched.
  • A strong desire to drive creative and product decisions for our products and our customers' apps.
  • An affinity for a dynamic environment, where staying nimble to meet the needs of customers is paramount.
  • Writing well-documented code AND source code commits doesn't feel like a chore.
